If your property has been operating as a short-term holiday rental, now may be the ideal time to transition into long-term leasing - with a generous incentive to support your next step.

The latest phase of the Short-Term Rental Accommodation (STRA) Incentive Scheme is now open, offering eligible property owners a $10,000 grant to convert their home from short-stay accommodation to a minimum 12 month residential lease.

This initiative not only supports much-needed housing availability across the South West, but also presents a compelling opportunity for property owners to secure consistent rental income.

You may qualify if:

  • Your home was advertised or occupied as unhosted short-term accommodation (such as Airbnb) between 20 May and 30 June 2025
  • You own the property and enter into a 12 month lease between 1 July and 31 December 2025
  • The agreed rent falls within the scheme’s threshold - for South West properties, this is $850 per week or less

At Jennings Hopkins, we’re proud to support owners in making this transition effortlessly. Jennings Hopkins combines local knowledge with years of experience and a genuine passion for property - offering expert guidance across every stage of the leasing and management process.
