One year ago, we unveiled a new brand. What followed was one of the most successful, rewarding and transformative periods in our agency's 23 year history.
While the name on the door changed, the heart of our business didn't. We were still the same people, with the same commitment to our clients, our community and each other. What the transition gave us was an opportunity to better reflect who we are today and where we're headed.
Looking back now, it's hard to believe just how much has happened in twelve short months.
We embraced our new brand with confidence, rolling out fresh marketing campaigns, new ideas and new ways of connecting with property owners across the South West. Our Summer Campaign exceeded all expectations, generating hundreds of appraisals and helping introduce many new clients to Jennings Hopkins for the very first time.
It was exciting to see people connect with our new brand, but even more rewarding to see them stay because of the people behind it.
Over the past financial year, we successfully sold 49 properties, representing more than $121,288,500 worth of real estate. We had the privilege of marketing and selling some of the region's most sought-after homes and lifestyle properties, while also helping countless local families, investors and property owners take their next step.
Every property has a story, and it's never something we take for granted. Behind the results, we continued doing what we've always done: refining our processes, improving our service and looking for better ways to support our clients. We challenged ourselves to keep evolving, while staying true to the values that guide us - Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, Innovation and Balance.
One of the things we're most proud of is the way our team works together. Our success comes from the collective. From sales and property management to marketing, administration and leadership, every person plays an important role. We genuinely believe we're better together, and this year reinforced that more than ever.
We continued investing in and supporting the professional growth of our team. Zachary achieved his Diploma of Property Agency Management, while Lily & Emily commenced their Sales Registrations as they take the next steps in their real estate careers. Across the business, our team remained committed to ongoing learning, regularly engaging with industry training, professional development opportunities and peak bodies to strengthen our knowledge, skills and expertise. It's an investment in our people, but ultimately, it's an investment in the service and advice we provide to our clients.
Our Property Management team continued to be a standout. They refined systems, streamlined processes and continued delivering the exceptional level of service they have become known for. Their professionalism, knowledge and genuine care for both landlords and tenants have earned them enormous respect throughout the community, and we're incredibly proud of the reputation and genuine friendships they've built along the way.
Of course, some of our favourite moments had nothing to do with property. This year, we celebrated an engagement, prepared to welcome a new baby, watched team members buy and build homes, marked milestone birthdays and recognised important anniversaries within the business. We found reasons to celebrate the big moments and the small ones too. For anyone who follows us on social media, or has simply walked past our office on a Friday afternoon, you'll know that celebrating our people is something we do well. Whether it's a life milestone, a professional achievement or simply an excuse to come together, every moment matters to us.
They remind us that behind every email, inspection, appraisal and settlement is a group of people who genuinely enjoy working together and supporting one another. It's something our clients often tell us they can feel.
The feedback we've received throughout the year has been overwhelming in the best possible way. Time and again, clients have told us they felt cared for, supported and genuinely valued throughout their experience with us. For a business like ours, that's the greatest compliment we can receive.
We were also fortunate to receive recognition across the industry, regularly featuring among the top-performing teams in REIWA awards and rankings throughout the year. While those achievements are always appreciated, they are never the reason we do what we do. The real reward is helping our clients achieve outcomes they didn't think were possible.
Community continued to be a major focus throughout the year. We were proud to establish a partnership with The Smith Family, helping support young Australians through education and opportunity. We also became sponsors of the Dunsborough Bay Yacht Club and continued backing young people in our region as they pursue ambitious goals, including supporting a talented young athlete chasing an Olympic dream.
Giving back has always been important to us. We feel incredibly fortunate to live and work in this community, and we're committed to playing our part in helping it thrive.
Reflecting on the first year as Jennings Hopkins, Principal/Director Eloise Jennings said:
"When we launched the new Jennings Hopkins brand, we knew we were creating something special that truly reflected who we are, but we never imagined just how warmly it would be embraced by our clients and community.
One thing I always come back to is that we care the most. We care about our clients, we care about each other, and we care about the communities we live and work in. Every decision we make starts there.
This year has been about so much more than sales results or growth. It's been about people - the relationships we've strengthened, the trust we've built and the culture we've continued to nurture. I'm incredibly proud of what we've achieved together and genuinely excited for what's ahead."
As we move into our second year as Jennings Hopkins, one thing is certain: we'll continue to evolve alongside the market, continue challenging ourselves to improve and continue putting people at the centre of everything we do.
The chapter of Jennings Hopkins has been everything we hoped it would be - and we're only just getting started.
